EX SWIMRUN RUNMARÖ LONG
Course Description – EX Swimrun Runmarö offers a unique route that combines warm lakes with cooler sea swims out to Gråskärsfjärden and the magnificent open waters of the Stockholm archipelago. The distance is approximately 22–25K, with a SWIFA of around 17%, which can be varied depending on the sea temperature.
Part 1 – Runmarö – The race starts on Runmarö, where participants are greeted by easy-running trails and gravel roads. Here, three lake swims in Viträsket, Uppebyträsket, and Nästräsket provide a perfect start with gentle yet challenging variety.
Part 2 – Archipelago Adventure – The second part takes you out to Stora and Lilla Bergskär, surrounding skerries and Storholmen. The terrain becomes tougher here, with more technical running in a classic outer-archipelago environment.
Part 3 – Runmarö/Storön – The final section mixes longer and shorter swims. Longer swims occur at Noregrundet and Kila, while fast, intense transitions await at Solberg, Storön, and Norrsunda. The course concludes with a final 3 km run back to Svängens Krog, where the finish line celebration awaits.
