Björnö Nature Reserve is one of the archipelago’s most iconic places – a peninsula where smooth rocks, deep forests and warm sandy beaches create a landscape that feels both untouched and perfect for Swimrun. Runners and swimmers have explored the area for years, but now we want more people to experience it for themselves.
Björnö is known for its sheltered bays and open coastline. The shallow beaches warm up quickly, while the outside facing Nämdöfjärden offers that raw archipelago feeling. Over the years, we have tested different courses, and we can now offer a race that combines warm inner waters, open sea and technical terrain, with the flexibility to adapt the course depending on wind and water temperature.
The race arena is located at the very end of Björnö, where we will enjoy food, drinks and a great atmosphere before and after the race. Together, we want to inspire both locals and visitors to discover Swimrun in the archipelago.
